POPROX HAWAII is Hawaii's hottest 80s touring showgroup featuring "90 MINUTES OF 80s MAYHEM", a show packed with hits that played at every nightclub throughout the world, an 80s Tribute show designed to perform in any size event at any location in the world.

Our overseas touring experiences have taken us to the Middle East where we performed in MWR events in Kuwait & Qatar in 2022 where we performed for our US military soldiers. We have also performed in Paris, France in 2019, in the city's popular nightclubs. We've also performed in San Diego and in Las Vegas for special events.

Here in Hawaii, we perform in Honolulu’s major venues like the Blue Tropix, the Hale Koa Barefoot Bar, the Hard Rock Cafe, the Hilton Tapa Bar, Hibiscus Club, the BayView, Cuckoo Coconuts in Waikiki, the Waikiki Yacht Club, and the Elks Club.

Our performances feature the 80s hits by Billy Idol, David Bowie, Def Leppard, U2, Prince, Tears for Fears, Depeche Mode, Van Halen, Aha, Journey, Boy George, Flock of Seagulls, The Cars, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Information Society, Klymaxx, Abba, Men At Work, Dead or Alive, Human League, Men Without Hats, Fine Young Cannibals, Lady Gaga, the Bangles, Whitney Houston, Blondie, Cher, Bryan Adams, Earth Wind & Fire, Toto, Simple Minds, Wang Chung, ZZ Top, Santana, Bruce Springsteen, Boz Scaggs, Chicago, Lionel Richie, Gino Vannelli, and so much more.

********* MEET THE PERFORMERS of POPROX HAWAII **********

JOHN R BORJA: I am the founder, bandleader, lead guitarist & one of three lead vocalists in the POPROX HAWAII lineup. I've performed at Disneyland Anaheim's Tomorrowland, showrooms & venues throughout Paris, France, Southern California, Hawaii, Reno, Laughlin, Denver, Las Vegas, Tahiti, Guam, Tokyo & Hiroshima, Japan. I've toured the Northwestern U.S. and Canada, and performed in concerts as Music Director (MD)and lead guitarist for Stevie Wonder, and worked in music events with Chaka Khan and Toni Braxton.

My showgroups have opened concerts for The Doobie Brothers, America, Ronnie Laws, Norman Brown, and Spyro Gyra. I have published (2) CDs under my very own Tahitian Dreams record label, a writer & producing member of ASCAP since 1991 with multiple credits on recordings with several artists. I have written, produced and co-produced music for PBS Television, Polynesia Premiere TV and RFO France TV. I am a proud endorsee of Brian Moore Custom Guitars and iGuitar, and a long standing member of ASCAP & NAMM since 1991.

As a writer & producing member of ASCAP since 1991 with multiple credits on recordings with several artists, I've also produced and co-produced music for KPBS, Polynesie Premiere and RFO France as an associate member of SACEM France.

I am a proud endorsee of Brian Moore Custom Guitars and iGuitar, and a long standing member of ASCAP & NAMM.

BENJAMIN "BENJI" JUAN is our drummer from Ewa Beach, Hawaii. He has performed with the Society of Seven, Hawaii show group "HONOLULU" and SHAKKA the Santana Tribute, and has been with POPROX HAWAII since its inception in October 2015. He is a proud endorsee of the ROLAND VAD-506 for Systems Integration Engineering in Honolulu and for Roland US. Benji is the highest rated drummer in Hawaii and models his drumming skills after the great Jonathan Moffett, drummer for Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Madonna, and Cameo.

ANNA MARIE LOVE is Honolulu's hottest and most talented vocalist, and is in our lineup for all national and international tours. She was a highlight in our recent MWR Tour to Qatar in the Middle East. AnnaMarie had toured with POPROX HAWAII previously to Paris, France in June & July 2019.

VICTOR KEVIN EFFLER is our bassist and keyboardist who joined POPROX HAWAII in September 2022. Victor is also a well-known FOH and Stage engineer for Sea Life Park here in Hawaii.
