POPROX HAWAII is Hawaii's hottest 80s touring showgroup featuring "90 MINUTES OF 80s MAYHEM", a show packed with hits that played at every nightclub throughout the world. We are an 80s Tribute show designed to perform in any size event at any location in the world.

Our overseas touring experiences have taken us to the Middle East where we performed in MWR events in Kuwait & Qatar in 2022 & 2023.

We have also performed in PARIS, FRANCE in 2019 at the Le Cavern nightclub, in SAN DIEGO in 2022 at the Southwestern Yacht Club, and LAS VEGAS in 2023 at the NOYPITZ nightclub.

Here in Hawaii, we have been performing since 2015 at Honolulu major venues: Blue Tropix, Hale Koa Barefoot Bar, Hard Rock Cafe Waikiki, Hilton Tapa Bar, Hibiscus Club, The BayView, Cuckoo Coconuts in Waikiki, the Waikiki Yacht Club, the Elks Club, TIKI Grill & Bar @ Waikiki, the East Side Bar & Grill @ Kaneohe, the West Side Bar & Grill @ Kapolei, and the Lookout Wai Kai @ Eva Beach.

********* MEET THE PERFORMERS of POPROX HAWAII **********

JOHN R BORJA: I am the founder, bandleader, lead guitarist & one of three lead vocalists in the POPROX HAWAII lineup.

I've performed in Disneyland at the Tomorrowland Buzz Club Stage in Anaheim, California, in showrooms & venues throughout Paris, France, Southern California, Hawaii, Reno, Laughlin, Denver, Las Vegas, Tahiti, Guam, Tokyo & Hiroshima, Japan.

I've toured the Northwestern U.S. and Canada, and performed in concerts as Music Director (MD) and lead guitarist for Stevie Wonder, and worked in music events with Chaka Khan and Toni Braxton.

My showgroups have opened concerts for The Doobie Brothers, America, Ronnie Laws, Norman Brown, and Spyro Gyra. I have published (2) CDs under my very own Tahitian Dreams record label.

As a writer & producing member of ASCAP since 1991 with multiple credits on recordings with several artists, I've also produced and co-produced music for KPBS, Polynesie Premiere and RFO France as an associate member of SACEM France.

I am a proud endorsee of Brian Moore Custom Guitars and iGuitar, and a long standing member of ASCAP & NAMM.

BENJAMIN "BENJI" JUAN: our drummer from Ewa Beach, Hawaii. He has performed with the Society of Seven, Hawaii show groups HONOLULU and SHAKKA the Santana Tribute, and has been with POPROX HAWAII since its inception in October 2015. Ben is an endorsee of the ROLAND VAD-506 Electronic Drums for Systems Integration Engineering & Sales in Honolulu and Roland USA.

Benji models his skills after the great Jonathan Moffett (drummer for Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Madonna, and Cameo).

ANNA MARIE LOVE: Honolulu's most talented female vocalist, is in our lineup for our national & international tours. She joined PopRox Hawaii in 2018 for Hawaii performances, toured with POPROX HAWAII to PARIS, FRANCE in June & July 2019, and again in 2022 on the MWR Tour to Qatar in the Middle East.

VICTOR KEVIN EFFLER - our bassist & keyboardist who joined POPROX HAWAII in September 2022. Victor is also a well-known FOH and Stage engineer for Sea Life Park here in Hawaii.
